We are a 2 person female DJ team, catering to the needs of the darkwave, electro, EBM, techno, industrial, new wave and synthpop scene in NYC. We can do it all.

It all started back in the day (about 1995) where Neville Wells gave us our first shot at DJing downstairs at Downtime at a little mini section we called Dendera. We used to DJ goth and darkwave then and at the time there were very few female DJ's in the U.S., and even fewer DJ teams. The Borg originally started out as three, but inner conflict saw one member breaking off (Hey, we're all friends now...it's all good :). From there we went on to DJ such clubs as The Bank, Limelight, Webster Hall, SciBar, the Tunnel, The Pyramid, and from time to time out of state events (Borg sightings range from Boston to LA)! Our style has changed with the scene over the years to incorporate new sounds with an old genre. Our independant style and performing antics (ie, drunken mishaps, Sci-bar Borg lightshow (hey there was no freakin lights!) have gained us notice in underground music magazines, Web and TV media alike.

Our ideology has always been to have fun at the same time as getting music out that otherwise would go unoticed. Over the years, we have been thanked by many bands we've helped expose, as well as the many bands that have crashed at "The Borg Hotel" when playing/appearing in NYC, but our thanks has always been in the music.

Updated '02: Okay... had to update this because we are even older now and don't do squat. Well, we do, but its more "old lady" stuff you could say. Still love to DJ on occassion, but we have other interests that go beyond that.

Nowadays we are a lot older and prefer the not so hectic club life of our past so we usually like to DJ only once or twice a year now. We like the early sets because we like to party later in the night. See, we are not that old yet.

By now you must be wondering. Well who are these mysterious women? Yeah right! Or even who is this Meich who is on this page... Well, Meich is one of our best friends (and self proclaimed "Head of Borg Security" ie...he likes getting in for free). He stuck by us (and carried our equiptment) for a long time and feel we should include him. He will be the closest thing we have to the third Borg anyhow.
